The day after Easter, Devon & I headed to Oklahoma City to spend some time with my sister & her family. While there, we decided to go to the zoo. This was Devon's first trip to a zoo, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We also enjoyed spending some time with Aunt ChiChi & Aunt LaLa!
The very first animals we saw were the sea otters. Devon LOVED them!! He was in a trance watching their graceful swimming in the water. This is also the first time he "pointed" at something.
When we went inside to watch the sea otters through the glass, he still couldn't stop watching.
There is a picnic area named "devon" at the zoo, so of course we had to take some pics!!
The rhinos are behind us in the picture below.
Chenna & her "boyfriend" were putting on a monkey show for us.
We saw a bear...
... and his buddy was sleeping with his paw against the glass so Devon gave him a "high five."
And this was his reaction to that!
We also saw alligators... lots of them by this little pond area. They were being so still, it took a lot of convincing for Aunt LaLa to believe they were real & not "alligator statues." (no joke)
We ended the trip to the zoo at the "petting zoo" area for kids. Devon wasn't interested in petting any goats; he just wanted to climb all over the rocks in that area. He's already such a climber.
Chenna couldn't get enough of the goats though!
