Sling Time

The sling has proven to be one of the best baby items EVER. I highly recommend it to anyone with a newborn. Devon absolutely loves the sling. He is quiet and content (and usually sleeping) while in the sling.

Easter Weekend in Ft Worth

Things I learned this weekend:

My sister, Landrea, can create a beautiful work of art from banana pudding.

My mother can make a really scary bird face.

If you would like to make new friends, sit on the street corner holding a sign that says, "Free Fighting Lessons." If that doesn't work, grab some homemade sugar cookies and sit on the street corner with a sign that says, "$1.00 a cookie." If that doesn't work, reduce the price to 50 cents. When you finally get a customer, invite him to stay so you can give him fighting lessons. (theory tested and approved by Catch, Colt & Chenna)

My mother may very well love Matt more than me. After all, I've never made shelves for her laundry room or installed motion-sensor lights for her driveway.

Bathtime

Devon wasn't too happy during his first bath...

But he soon discovered he actually likes bathtime.
